Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has now approved the proposal to give benefits of the Rajasthan Investment Promotion Scheme (RIPS)-2019 to rural tourism units under the Rajasthan Rural Tourism Scheme-2022. According to the proposal, rural tourism units will get the benefit of exemption in stamp duty under RIPS-2019. He has given this information through social media. 

He tweeted that the rural tourism unit will also be defined in the tourism sector units defined under RIPS-2019. In order to provide full benefits of RIPS-2019 to rural tourism units, the minimum investment limit of Rs.1 crore can be kept.

The state government is working with full commitment to promote rural tourism in the state. With this approval, new employment will be created through tourism units in the villages. Handicrafts will be encouraged. 

Tourists will be able to get acquainted with the rural tradition of Rajasthan. It is worth noting that the tourism industry has also been given the status of the Thrust Sector under RIPS-2019. It is noteworthy that in the budget of the year 2022-23, Rajasthan Rural Tourism Scheme-2022 was announced to promote rural tourism in the state.
