Utility News: Now people will not be able to make more than one voter card, the government took this big step
Aadhar card has become one of the most important documents in India. Its use has become necessary in all government schemes. Now it has been decided by the Central Government to link one more document with the Aadhar card. Now Narendra Modi government has decided to link Voter ID with Aadhaar.
In this regard, the Law Ministry in consultation with the Election Commission has amended the Voters' Registration Rules, 1960, and the Election Rules, 1961. Now after linking Voter ID, a person will be able to have only one Voter ID card in the country.
So far it has been seen that people get many voter cards made from different addresses. Now the person will not be able to do this. If a person has got another voter ID card made, then by identifying him, the fake card will be eliminated. A notification has been issued by the Central Government to link Voter ID with Aadhaar. Law Minister Kiren Rijiju has given this information through social media.
