Good news has come for the central employees. The news is that the Ministry of Labor has released the AICPI Index data for July. It has increased by 0.7 points since June. This increase has paved the way for an increase in the dearness allowance of employees in January next year. In July, the figure was 129.9. Earlier this figure was 129.2.
Based on the data of the AICPI index for July to December, there will be an increase in dearness allowance in January next year. Based on the data from January to June, the dearness allowance for July will be announced soon. According to sources, the central government will announce the dearness allowance for July on September 28. The dearness allowance is expected to increase by 4 percent for the time being.
According to the 7th Pay Commission, the DA of central employees is increased twice a year, in January and July. It is based on the AICPI index of the last six months. This time, after the increase in dearness allowance in July, the employees will get their September salary as well as two months arrears.
This time dearness allowance is expected to increase by 4 percent. After this, it will be 34 to 38 percent. At present, a 34 percent dearness allowance is being given by the government to the central employees. With DA being 38 percent, there will be a good jump in salary.
