UIDAI: You can apply for Aadhaar PVC without a registered mobile number with these easy steps!


Aadhar card is the most important identity document in India. Aadhaar is essential not only for government schemes but also for financial services. Aadhaar provides a wide range of services to all Aadhaar card holders. One of these services involves downloading Aadhaar PVC from the official website of UIDAI.


Discouraging cardholders from buying their Aadhaar PVC copy in the open market due to security concerns, the Unique Identification Authority of India has recently launched secure Aadhaar PVC cards. These will be sent to the address of the card holders by the agency itself.

Now, if you want to download your Aadhaar PVC from the UIDAI website, you need not use your registered mobile number. You can avail of this service without linking your mobile number with your Aadhar card.

Those who wish to do so will have to visit the official website of UIDAI and go to the 'My Aadhaar' section, after which they will have to enter their Aadhaar number and follow the steps mentioned below.

Aadhar PVC Card: Steps to Apply


  • Visit the UIDAI website uidai.gov.in or resident.uidai.gov.in
  • Go to 'Order Aadhar Card' service
  • Enter your 12 digit Aadhar Card (UID) number / 16 digit Virtual Identification (VID) number / 28 digit Aadhar Enrollment Number.
  • Verify Your Security
  • Complete with a time-based one-time password by clicking on the 'TOTP' option, else One-time password with the 'OTP' option
  • 'Accept the Terms and Conditions
  • Submit TOTP or OTP
  • Review your Aadhar card details and verify them before printing.
  • Pay Rs.50 (Inclusive of GST and Postal Charges) through Credit, Debit Card, UPI, or Net Banking.
  • Receive receipt with digital signature on screen and service request number on SMS.
  • Download and save the receipt.
