The state government's top priority is to bring water to the villages of the state: Ashok Gehlot


Despite the odd geographical conditions in the state, due to efficient management by the state government, there will be no shortage of water and electricity supply to the people of the state. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said this while reviewing the works of Energy, PHED, Disaster Management and Assistance, MNREGA and Gopalan Department at the CM residence on Friday.

During this, he said that the state government's top priority is to provide water to the villages and dhanis of the state. It will be ensured that there is no problem for the common man regarding the availability of drinking water and drinking water is available till the last mile. 

He said that for water and electricity supply, the high officials should visit the areas and inspect the arrangements. Communicate with the public and solve their problems on the spot. 

He directed that the water supply officers should ensure water supply through tankers as per the local demand.

Excavation of new hand pumps and repair of old ones should also be completed soon. He said that there should be no power cut at the time of drinking water supply. He directed the District Collectors to make contingency arrangements after assessing the additional requirement of drinking water in the districts. 

Ashok Gehlot said that regular power supply should be ensured in the state. He directed the officials of the Energy Department that all possible efforts should be made to provide relief to the common man.
