The new mineral policy of the state will be more forward-looking, promoting the mining sector rapidly and connecting all sections of the society with mining. Mines Minister Pramod Jain Bhaya said this while addressing the inaugural session of the one-day Mining, Oil and Gas Conclave at Hotel Marriott on Wednesday. 

Bhaya said that according to the intention of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, there will be reservations in the mining allocation process for SC, ST, women, specially qualified persons, unemployed technocrat youth, etc. Provisions are being made to connect the citizens with the mining sector in the state.

He said that our works and achievements in the mining sector have also been recognized by the Central Government and for the first time Rajasthan has been awarded second prize and an incentive of Rs.

 He said that in the last three-and-a-half years, rapid work has been done in the mining sector in the state, and records of achievements have been made from mineral exploration, and development of plots of new major and minor minerals to auction to revenue earning.
