Strict action is being taken against illegal mining, transportation, and storage in the entire state these days. Under this, about 190 cases have been registered in the state in the last four days. Along with the seizure of 180 vehicles and machinery, a fine of more than Rs 50 lakh has been recovered.
Additional Chief Secretary, Mines Dr. Subodh Agrawal has given this information. He said that in coordination with the District Administration, Police Administration, and Mines Department, strict action is being taken against illegal mining activities in the entire state.
He said that all the officers of the Mines Department have been directed to expedite the action against illegal mining activities by coordinating at the local level. Two people have also been arrested in Udaipur.
Dr. Agrawal informed that maximum of 60 cases have been registered in Udaipur circle under the direction of Additional Director Mahesh Mathur. 53 cases have been registered in Jaipur. Additional Director Shri Narendra Kothiyari has been made the State Level Officer-in-Charge for monitoring this campaign. Coordinated action is being taken by campaigning against illegal mining activities in the entire state.
