Road accidents have come down in Rajasthan. Rajya Sabha MP from Rajasthan Neeraj Dangi has given this information in Parliament.

He said that as a result of effective steps taken by the Rajasthan Government, there has been a 19 percent reduction in road accidents in the year 2020 as compared to the year 2019.

Dangi said that if we look at the data presented by the Central Government, due to the effective steps taken by the Rajasthan Government, a total of 19114 road accidents have been registered in the year 2020 as against a total of 23480 road accidents in the year 2019. He gave this information during the discussion on matters related to the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways in the House.

He said that the increase in road accidents in the last three years at the national level shows the apathy towards the efforts being made by the Central Government in the field of prevention of road accidents.

In response to the question raised by Dangi in the House, the Minister for Road Transport and Highways said that the increase in road accidents depends on human error, the condition of roads, the environment, and the condition of vehicles. In the argument of the Union Minister, Dangi said that all these situations are based on the policies of the Central Government and they can be reduced by taking effective and regular action on them.
