There is relief news for lakhs of pensioners in Rajasthan. The state government has extended the last date for biometric verification for pensioners (old age, widow, specially-abled) till January 31 under the Social Security Pension (Pensioners Pension Update 2023). Those pensioners who have not yet done Annual Physical Verification should get it done soon. Otherwise, the pension may get stuck or may have to be deprived of pension. In this case, the eligible can also get physical verification done through e-Mitra.

So many people have not been verified for pension

So far, 1 lakh 67 thousand pensioners have not been verified in Nagaur and 48 thousand 459 pensioners are yet to be verified in Sawai Madhopur district. So get the verification done before January 31, otherwise, biometric verification will not be done to get social security pension. In such a situation, his pension will stop. Pensioners can get pension verification done by taking documents like Aadhaar Card, Jan Aadhaar Card, etc. to the nearest e-Mitra center. Every year in November and December, through biometrics, the pensioner can take advantage of any other government scheme related to Jan Aadhaar. There is no need to conduct physical verification of such pensioners.

Verification

through face scanning Pensioners can also be verified through face scanning, for this face authentication system will be started in the state from January 26. With this, you will be able to do verification from your smartphone sitting at home. This will benefit about 94 lakh pensioners in the state. The department will now verify the pensioners whose thumb and eye scans are not matching, then their verification will be done through face authentication. After the implementation of this system, Rajasthan will become the first state in the country to provide this facility of physical verification in the Social Pension Scheme.

Verification can also be done by these methods

Pensioners can do fingerprint biometrics at E-Mitra Kiosk, Rajiv Gandhi Seva Kendra, E-Mitra Plus, etc. for annual physical verification.

Pensioners taking their PPO, Aadhaar Card, or Jan Aadhaar Card can get their annual verification done by print by appearing in the subdivision office in case of any difficulty in biometric verification.

Physical verification of pensioners deprived of fingerprint biometrics can also be done through an iris scan.

If the pensioner personally appears before the Pension Sanctioning Officer (Development Officer, Sub-Divisional Officer), then based on the OTP received on the registered mobile of the pensioner after entering the PPO number of the concerned, the officer will be formally present. The pensioner can do verification through his SSO ID on the SSP portal.
