The Central Passport Organisation, a subordinate office of the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India has vacancies for various posts in Passport Offices at various stations. A deputation will be organized for the recruitment of staff to the post of Passport Officer and Assistant Passport Officer.

According to a notification shared by the Passport Office, a total of 24 vacancies are waiting to be filled by the organization. Read on to know post-wise vacancy details.

Candidates are required to apply within 30 days from the date of publication of this circular.

Eligibility Criteria

Passport Officer:

The candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in any stream from a recognized institute.

Must have a minimum of 9 years of experience.

Should be holding a similar post on regular basis in the parent cadre or department with 5 years of service experience.

Deputy Passport Officer:

Should be holding a similar post on regular basis in the parent cadre or department with 5 years of service experience.

Bachelor's Degree in Any Stream from a Recognized Institute.

Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience.

Salary

For Passport Officers, the starting salary will range from Rs.78,800 to Rs.20,9200 depending on their eligibility.

However, for Assistant Passport Officers it will be between Rs.67,700 to Rs.20,8700.

Passport Office Vacancy Details

Passport Officer:

There are 1 vacancy in Madurai and 10 each in Amritsar, Bareilly, Jalandhar, Jammu, Nagpur, Panaji, Raipur, Shimla, Srinagar, and Surat.

Deputy Passport Officer:

1 vacancy each in Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kozhikode, and Pune. At the same time, there are 2 vacancies each in Delhi, Kolkata, and Mumbai.
