Pandit Shivakumar's death marked the end of an era of music: Kalraj Mishra


Governor Kalraj Mishra has condoled the demise of renowned Santoor player Pandit Shivkumar Sharma. He has described the death of Pandit Shivkumar Sharma as the end of an era of Indian classical music.

Governor Mishra said that Pandit Shiv Kumar was synonymous with Santoor. He created the history of melody by bringing alive the nature tunes of Kashmir Valley in Santoor. He has prayed to God to give peace to the departed soul of Pandit Ji and give strength to his family and fans to bear this heavy loss.

Deputy Leader of Opposition Rajendra Rathod tweeted in this regard that it was the sad news of the demise of eminent Indian Santoor player Pandit Shivkumar Sharma. His death is a great irreparable loss to the Indian classical music world. May his soul rest in peace and strength to the bereaved family.
