PM addressed: ready to work with small island countries, leaving no one behind, the goal of sustainable development

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday addressed the International Conference on Disaster Resilient Infrastructure CDRI via video message. He said that in a short span of two and a half years, CRDI has taken important initiatives and made valuable contributions.

The 'Infrastructure of Resilient Island States' initiative launched at COP26 last year is a clear expression of our commitment to working with small island countries.

The PM said that the goal of sustainable development is to leave no one behind, so we are committed to building the next generation infrastructure, meeting the needs of the poorest and most vulnerable. Infrastructure is not just for making money and earning long term return on investment. It's not about statistics. It's not about money. It's about the people. It is about providing them with high quality, reliable and sustainable services in an equal manner.
