Such a great performance has been done by an Indian cricketer. 21-year-old Nehal Wadhera played a marathon innings of 578 runs against Bathinda U-23 team in the semi-finals of the Punjab State Inter-District Tournament today.

Playing for Ludhiana at the GRD Cricket Ground, Ludhiana, Nehal faced 414 balls and played this innings with the help of 42 fours and 37 sixes. Thanks to his innings, Ludhiana declared their innings at 880 for 6 on the second day of the 4-day match.

With this, Nehal Vadhera has got a record registered in his name. He has now become the highest scorer in the state organized cricket tournament. He broke the 66-year-old record of former Punjab cricketer Chaman Lal Malhotra. Nehal played such a big innings at a strike rate of more than 139. During this innings, he set the records for the fastest 200, 300, 400 and 500 runs.
