In the Maharani College located in the capital Jaipur, now the girl students will get to learn the tricks of self-defense. Additional Commissioner of Police I Ajaypal Lamba started self-defense training for girl students at Maharani College. Speaking on the occasion, he said that the aim of this program is to make the girl students mentally strong and physically capable.
He said that it is our endeavor to inculcate a sense of security in the minds of girl students through this self-defense training. Also, they should be aware of their legal rights. It has started from the new season. It will also be started in other colleges and schools so that every girl student can be made aware as well as trained for self-defense.
Additional Commissioner of Police said that after this training, my expectation is not to keep it limited to myself. With this, you should also train other women in your society and locality. Apart from motivating the girl students to work harder and increase their self-confidence, he also interacted with the girls regarding how the future of the girl students can be made better.
Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police and Nodal Officer of Nirbhaya Squad Sunita Meena said that the girl students should adopt self-defense in their lifestyle. In the present scenario especially girl students should be able to defend themselves from any danger. This training is such a life skill that helps in being prepared for the unexpected.
Principal Dr. Mukta Agrawal said that this is a good initiative to make girl students aware of their safety, self-confidence, and self-reliance. Vice-Principal Dr. Chandrani Sen proposed a vote of thanks. Women's helpline numbers were also launched on the occasion. Teachers, girls, and the Nirbhaya team were present in the program.
