MP Neeraj Dangi has now made this demand from the central government regarding Rajasthan

Rajya Sabha MP Neeraj Dangi has urged the Central Government to build an over/under the bridge on NH-27 for the Abu-Nichalagarh road crossing via Hanuman Tekri. In this regard, he has written a letter to Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari requesting his immediate intervention.

Rajya Sabha MP Neeraj Dangi has mentioned in detail in the letter that this NH-27 is an important highway for connectivity to Mount Abu and Udaipur, the only very popular hill station in Gujarat, Rajasthan. Although during the construction of this highway NHAI had provided a cut on the median to cross this road, unfortunately, this spot on the highway has become a blackspot and in the last 5 years, there are about 100 fatalities. About 140 people have died in the accidents.

The road through this junction point is a lifeline for the Bhakhar area of Abu Roadblock. On this road, there are 8 Panchayat Headquarters and 26 villages with a population of about 45,000 located in different chainages. At present about 12,000 PCUs of all commercial, passenger, and other slow-moving vehicles are passing through the existing road crossings and this is assuming a growth rate of about 8 percent every year.

MP Dangi has urged the Minister of Road Transport to consider this sensitive issue sympathetically and give immediate approval for an overbridge/underbridge to avoid the frequent casualties at this place.
