The personnel of the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) and Assam Rifles will now continue to get employment even after their retirement. The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) through the Welfare and Rehabilitation Board (WARB) has launched 'CAPF Rehabilitation' to secure employment with private security agencies. This portal will help retired personnel to find a suitable job by uploading their details on the WARB website along with their area of expertise and preferred employment location. This step has been taken on the instructions of Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
A platform for job seekers and job providers
The Ministry of Home Affairs also runs a portal for the registration of Private Security Agencies (PSA) under the Private Security Agencies Regulation Act (PSARA). According to an official statement, both the websites have now been inter-linked, so that the database of retired CAPF personnel, who have applied for 'CAPF Rehabilitation', can be accessed by the PSA through the PSARA website.
As a result, a single platform for both job seekers and job providers is now available. Retired personnel is going to benefit greatly from this move.
PSA will get data digitally
The welfare of CAPF personnel and their families has been one of the top priorities of the Narendra Modi government. This new initiative of the Ministry of Home Affairs under 'CAPF Rehabilitation' gives PSA access to the database digitally. With the increase in the number of business establishments requiring security services, the substantial growth of PSAs has increased the availability of security personnel.
