Bank Holidays in August 2022: The month of August is approaching. If you are going to do any work related to the bank in the month of August, then definitely read this news first. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released the list of holidays for August 2022. According to this list, banks are going to be closed for a total of 13 days in August.

It is worth mentioning that the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has divided the bank holiday list into three categories(Bank Holiday in August 2022) This includes the Negotiable Instruments Act, Real Time Gross Settlement Holiday, and closure of accounts by the bank. 

That is, in addition to national holidays, there are some state-specific holidays, which include all Sundays as well as the second and fourth Saturdays of the month. Let us know which days the banks are going to be closed in the month of August.

Bank Holiday in August

August 1, 2022: All banks will remain closed due to the Drupaka She-Ji festival in Gangtok.

August 7, 2022: Sunday being a weekend, there will be a bank holiday across the country.

August 8, 2022: Banks will remain closed in Jammu and Srinagar on the occasion of Muharram (Ashura).

August 9, 2022: Banks will remain closed on the occasion of Muharram (Ashura) except in Chandigarh, Dehradun, Bhubaneshwar, Guwahati, Imphal, Jammu, Panaji, Shillong, Shimla, Thiruvananthapuram, and Srinagar.

August 11, 2022: There will be a bank holiday across the country on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan.

August 13, 2022: Due to being the second Saturday of the month, all the banks in the country will be closed.

August 14, 2022: Sunday being a weekend, there will be a bank holiday across the country.

August 15, 2022: All banks in the country will be closed on the occasion of Independence Day.

16 August 2022: All banks in Mumbai and Nagpur will remain closed on the occasion of Parsi New Year.

August 18, 2022: All banks across the country will remain closed on the occasion of Janmashtami.

August 21, 2022: Sunday being a weekend, there will be a bank holiday across the country.

August 28, 2022 - Due to the weekend, Sunday will be a bank holiday across the country.

August 31, 2022: There will be a bank holiday in Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Karnataka on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi.
