Ashok Gehlot took an important decision in the interest of Dalit and tribal youth and entrepreneurs!


Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has taken an important decision for the Dalit and tribal youth and entrepreneurs of Rajasthan. CM Gehlot has approved the draft of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Rajasthan Dalit, Tribal Enterprise Promotion Scheme-2022 in this regard. This will open the avenues of economic progress and self-employment opportunities for the youth of these sections. It is noteworthy that Gehlot had announced to implementation of this scheme in the budget 2022-23. 

Under the scheme, full-time training will be given in relation to various trades/products of the MSME sector in collaboration with the Dalit Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DICCI) and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), etc. For this, an incubation center will be set up. 

Innovative initiatives are being taken to enable the people of Dalit and Adivasi sections to invest. There will be a provision of 10 percent participation of RIICO/Rajasthan Venture Capital Fund in the selected industries being set up under this scheme, subject to a maximum of Rs.25 lakh per unit. Such partnerships will help young entrepreneurs to get technical and various approvals. 

Plot reservation, interest on installments, relief in stamp duty:  

The prescribed limit of plots to be allotted to the entrepreneurs of Dalit and tribal class in RIICO industrial areas will be increased from 2000 sqm to 4000 sqm. Along with this, the limit of reservation payable to entrepreneurs in allotment of plots will also be increased from 5 percent to 6 percent at present. There will also be a provision for complete exemption of interest on installments of due amount of land allotment and 100% concession in land conversion fee. There will also be a 100% exemption in stamp duty on land purchase, lease, and loan documents under the scheme.

100 percent SGST recharge for 7 years: Under the scheme, 100 percent recharge of State Goods and Services Tax (SGST) will be done for 7 years for the units to be levied by the entrepreneurs of the Dalit and Adivasi class. Also, under the Chief Minister's Laghu Udyog Protsahan Yojana, an additional interest subsidy of 1 percent and margin money grant of up to 25 percent (maximum Rs 25 lakh) will be given.
