Aftab's crime history will open 50 questions, narco test will reveal the secrets of the Shraddha murder case
Aftab Amin Poonawalla, accused in the Shraddha murder case in Delhi's Mehrauli area, will undergo a narco test today. This test is likely to be done at Ambedkar Hospital. On last Friday, November 18, Delhi's Saket court had directed to conduct a narco test on Aftab. According to police sources, about 50 questions will be asked from Aftab. Many big revelations are expected from these questions. During the narco test, Aftab can be asked questions regarding his and Shraddha's relationship, career, Shraddha's murder etc.
Let me tell you, during the hearing on November 18, Delhi's Saket court had sent Aftab on police remand for five days for the second time. Along with this, Rohini Forensic Science Lab was instructed to conduct the narco test within five days. Today is the fourth day of police remand. In such a situation, the police will try to gather maximum information through narco test.
Police and lab officials had a meeting
On Sunday, the police had conducted a thorough search in the Mehrauli forest. During the search, the police had recovered some parts of the skull and some bones. Along with this, a pond is being emptied at Maidangarhi in South Delhi. The police had taken the accused Aftab to the flat where he and Shraddha lived to collect more evidence. Meanwhile, in view of Aftab's narco test, the officials of Delhi Police and Rohini's Forensic Science Laboratory held a meeting. Through this test, the police is expected to get some important clues from the accused.
A senior official of the Rohini Forensic Science Laboratory said, "Our several teams of forensic experts had a detailed discussion with Delhi Police officials regarding the narco test and are preparing for the same." The Saket court had directed the police to complete the narco test within five days and also made it clear that it cannot use third degree on him.
Police interrogated some people in Vasai as well
Meanwhile, an official in Palghar, Maharashtra told that a team of Delhi Police was also present in Palghar's Vasai on Sunday. Three people were summoned to record their statements in connection with the murder case. He told that the statement was recorded in Vasai Crime Branch Office.
Draining water from pond
According to sources, the police recovered skulls and other body parts, mostly bone fragments, on the third day of intensive searches in forest areas of Mehrauli and Gurgaon in the Delhi-NCR region. These will be sent for forensic investigation.
The police along with the team of Municipal Corporation of Delhi is engaged in extracting water from a pond since Sunday afternoon. The exercise began after Aftab claimed that he had thrown Shraddha's head and some other remains into the reservoir.
