A few minutes before the murder of Sidhu Moose Wala, CCTV footage surfaced, 2 cars were seen behind his Thar!

Some new evidence has emerged in connection with the murder of 28-year-old prominent Punjabi singer and Congress leader Sidhu Moose Wala. A CCTV video footage surfaced on Monday, showing two cars behind the singer's SUV minutes before the incident. However, the video shared by news agency ANI is yet to be verified by the state police.

In the video, the singer's jeep can be seen turning right towards a corner as both the cars seem to be following him from behind. Sidhu Moose Wala was shot dead by unidentified assailants on Sunday evening in the Jawaharke village of Mansa district. This unfortunate incident happened a day after the state government cut their security cover.

Sidhu Moose Wala was sitting in the black-colored Thar. It can be seen in the CCTV video that there are two cars just behind his thar. These two cars were following his car. Police are now looking for both these cars. Police of other states including Haryana has also been alerted. Along with this, the police are also examining other CCTV footage.

The singer-turned-politician was traveling without any security commandos in his non-bullet proof Mahindra Thar jeep. During the journey, he was accompanied by his cousin and a friend in a jeep. Punjab Director General of Police (DGP) VK Bhavra said, "The incident seems to be a case of personal enmity." He told that the Lawrence Bishnoi gang is behind the murder.

The 28-year-old singer had contested the Punjab Assembly elections this year from Mansa on a Congress ticket. He was defeated by Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate Vijay Singla. Vijay Singla was recently sacked by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on corruption charges.

Though the state government cut his security cover, he was given two commandos and a bulletproof car for his personal security. The DGP said that he did not take the remaining two commandos with him when the incident happened.
