Khatu Shyamji Temple: A different scene was seen on Tuesday at Khatu Shyamji temple located in Sikar district of Rajasthan, when armed ATS (Anti Terrorist Squad) commandos suddenly arrived at the temple premises. This incident surprised the devotees present there, when they saw that the commandos killed two dummy terrorists in the temple committee office premises. All this happened so suddenly that the people present in the temple were stunned and for some time they could not understand what was happening.

Information received about terrorist hiding

This incident happened when ATS received information that terrorists were hiding in Khatu Shyamji temple and they had taken the employees of the temple committee hostage. Khatu Shyamji temple is a major religious place in Rajasthan, where every year lakhs of devotees come to visit Baba Shyam. To ensure the safety of such a large number of devotees and to deal with any emergency, ATS organized a mock drill on September 3. The purpose of this mock drill was to ensure that if such a real situation ever arises, how ATS and other security forces would respond.

ATS killed two dummy terrorists

According to the information received, as soon as the ATS received information about the terrorists hiding in the temple, the team entered the temple premises with full preparation. Acting in a planned manner, the ATS commandos entered the temple committee office premises and killed two dummy terrorists hiding there. Two rifles and other documents were also recovered from these dummy terrorists. During this mock drill, the devotees present in the temple were shocked for a moment, as they did not realize that it was only an exercise and there was no real threat.

Mock drill was conducted in the temple as a precaution

However, when the devotees were informed about the mock drill of ATS, they heaved a sigh of relief. ATS SI Harikishan Yadav said that this mock drill was organized as a precaution. He said that such exercises are organized to deal with such situations and to train the security forces. This type of exercise increases the response capacity of the security forces and quick and effective action can be ensured in any emergency.

This incident not only highlighted the readiness of the security forces but also created confidence in the general public regarding security. Such security exercises are required at important religious places like Khatu Shyamji Temple, so that any potential threat can be dealt with in time and the safety of devotees can be ensured. This mock drill conducted at the temple also gives the message that the security forces are always ready to deal with any emergency and they give top priority to the safety of common citizens.
