17-year-old powerlifter Yashtika Acharya died in a gym in Bikaner, Rajasthan. Yashtika Acharya was lifting a 270 kg weight when she lost her balance and the rod fell on her neck, breaking her neck bone.

weight with utmost caution, when she lost her balance and fell on the ground along with the rod. While falling on the ground, the rod fell on her neck, which broke her neck bone and she died in a few seconds.

Acharya was trying to lift a 270 kg weight with the help of the gym trainer and other people from the gym when she lost her balance. Everyone tried to hold her but the weight was so heavy that no one could handle it. If Acharya had thrown the rod back, she might have been saved but she held the rod till the end due to which the rod fell on her neck. The gym trainer was also slightly injured in this accident. While falling on the ground, Acharya's head hit the mouth of the rod.
