At least 200 buildings have been declared illegal by the Noida Authority. These buildings were constructed in violation of rules. The authority has started issuing notices to the owners of the buildings, which are built on village lands, and were notified for planned development, officials said. Approval is required to build a building
According to the rules, any plot owner can construct any building only after getting permission for it. For this, approval for the plan of the building has to be obtained from the planning department of the authority. A survey was conducted in all rural areas during the last six months by the authority. During this time it was found that about 200 buildings have been built in violation of the rules. Such buildings need to be demolished.
Officials said that there are at least 14 buildings in Baraula alone, which were not followed in the construction. There are about 20 buildings in Salarpur and about 30 in Hajipur area. Small developers buy plots in rural areas and start building flats, shops or office spaces. In these, buyers are offered property at a cheap price. An official said that the authority has issued public notices in this regard in newspapers and on its website in the last few days.
The note issued by Kiran warns against
buying plots, flats or shops in unauthorized projects. These projects have been built without approval from the Town Planning Department. In its public note, the authority had warned buyers not to invest in Nagli Wajidpur village, where a major unauthorized project has come up. It has also been decided to appoint a private agency to demolish the illegal building. Pradhya Kiran does not have enough manpower to complete this task alone.
"These illegal buildings are putting an additional burden on the existing civic infrastructure. They are meant for planned development only as they are not part of the master plan. The authorities will take demolition-like action after completing all legal procedures, the officials said.
