However, the actor also said that his father was very proud of him, he used to tell people that Anupam Kher is his son.

On hearing this question, Anupam Kher became emotional, after which he shared about a box kept with his father.

In Shubhankar Mishra's show, the actor said that his father had an iron box, which he did not let anyone touch. But when his father died, Anupam Kher opened that box and looked inside it, there were only paper cuttings in which news about the actor was published. Anupam Kher said, "It is amazing that a father has kept the press cutting off his son, there are also bad reviews in that cutting, only the name is underlined in it, even bounced cheques were kept in it."

Used to talk to people on the train

Anupam Kher said that his father Pushkar Nath Kher loved to travel by train and whenever he used to travel, he used to tell people that Anupam Kher was my son. However, people did not believe him because they used to say that if he was your son then why are you travelling by train? To reassure him, his father used to call him even at midnight and make him talk to people. The actor's father died in 2012 at the age of 84.
