Taali teaser: Teaser of Sushmita Sen's web series Taali released, users said 'Got goosebumps'

Former Miss Universe and actress Sushmita Sen on Saturday, July 29 released the teaser of her upcoming web series Taali based on the life of transgender activist Shree Gauri Sawant. The forty-six-second clip shows Sushmita in a 'chill-tingling' avatar.
Sharing the teaser on her Instagram, Sushmita wrote, "The story of the journey from Gaali Se Taali Tak. Here's the story of Shree Gauri Sawant's fight for India's third gender." She also informed that the series will release on August 15 on the occasion of Independence Day.
In the teaser, Sushmita's Shree Gauri lists three things she wants from life - self-respect, respect, and independence. Netizens are completely in awe of Sen's fiery avatar in the teaser as Sawant, who founded the NGO Sakhi Char Chowghi Trust, which promotes safe sex and provides counseling to transgender people.
Reacting to the teaser, a netizen wrote, "Sheer hair-raising! Transgender representation in media is incredibly important, and it's wonderful to see a talent like Sushmita Sen portraying such a challenging and impactful role! Sushmita Sen and Congratulations to both Gauri Sawant." While another said, "Can't wait to see this masterpiece".
Taali is created by Arjun Singh Baran and Karthik D Nishandar, directed by Ravi Jadhav, written by Kshitij Patwardhan, and produced by Arjun Singh Baran, Karthik D Nishandar and Afifa Sulaiman Nadiadwala. This is Sushmita Sen's second OTT release after Disney+Hotstar's crime thriller Aarya, which has had two highly successful seasons, and the third season will release later this year.
