the incident was shameful
Kangana writes on her Instagram, what happened in Punjab is shameful. Respected Prime Minister is a democratically elected leader, representative, and the voice of 140 crore people. Such an attack on him means an attack on every citizen of the country. It is also an attack on our democracy.

What happened
Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Punjab for the first time after a 13-month-long farmers' agitation. He was to go to Firozpur, where the foundation stone for development plans worth Rs 42,750 crore was to be laid. The Prime Minister's special aircraft reached the Air Force station in Bathinda on Wednesday morning. From here he was to go to Hussainiwala by helicopter, but due to fog and rain, the Prime Minister stayed at the Air Force station. When the weather was not clear, it was decided to take the Prime Minister's convoy to Hussainiwala by road.

SPG and Home Ministry spoke to the DGP of Punjab Police. After confirming the necessary security arrangements from his side, the Prime Minister's journey by road started. The Prime Minister was to visit the National Martyrs Memorial at Hussainiwala. His convoy was at a distance of about 30 km, but in the middle, the protesters blocked the way. Due to this the Prime Minister's convoy was halted at a flyover for 15-20 minutes. Pictures of SPG commandos and Punjab Police officers standing on the flyover went viral. Bathinda airport officials told ANI that PM Modi told officials at the airport, 'Thanks to your CM that I was able to return alive till Bathinda airport.'
