Recently, the actor revealed in an interview that he had lied to the director of the film when he was cast in 'Chandu Champion', for which he had to suffer the consequences for almost one and a half years.
Kartik Aaryan's biographical sports drama film 'Chandu Champion' was released in June 2024, although the film did not do much wonders at the time of release. But after some time when the film was streamed on the OTT platform, people loved it a lot. Directed by Kabir Khan, this film is based on the story of Paralympic gold medalist Muralikant Petkar, his role has been played brilliantly by Kartik.
What lie did Karthik tell?
Recently, Kartik Aaryan talked about this film at the Agenda Aaj Tak 2024 event. He told that he had lied to Kabir for the role in the film, which later cost him a lot. The actor told that it was necessary to know swimming to play the role of Muralikant Petkar, so he told the director that he could swim well, which was a lie. Kartik knew only enough swimming at that time, so that he could just save himself from drowning.
Took proper training for 1.5 years
Karthik told that he liked the story of this film very much, due to which he exaggerated many things. However, to pay for all this, the actor had to take the help of proper training and after one and a half years of hard work, he adapted himself according to the requirement of this role. Karthik joked about this and said that one and a half minutes of lie took me one and a half years. Vijay Raj and Rajpal Yadav were also in lead roles in the film.
