It seems like troubles are increasing for Bigg Boss winners. After the recent arrest of Elvish Yadav and his subsequent release on bail, Bigg Boss 17 winner Munawar Faruqui has landed in legal trouble. Stand-up comedian and reality TV star Munawar Faruqui was among 14 people detained during a police raid on a hookah parlour in Mumbai, officials said on Wednesday.

Munawwar was later released, according to a statement by a Mumbai Police officer quoted by news agency ANI. Police revealed that the hookah parlour located in Mumbai's Fort area was running illegally. According to an NDTV report, during the raid conducted on Tuesday, officials seized Rs 4,400 in cash and nine hookah pots worth Rs 13,500.

According to ANI, “Bigg Boss 17 winner Munawar Faruqui and 13 others were detained and a case has been registered against them during a raid at a hookah bar in the Kila area last night. All the accused were released after interrogation.”

Some time back, Munawar Faruqui shared his reaction on Elvish Yadav getting bail in the snake venom case. The YouTuber, who won Bigg Boss OTT 2, was granted bail after being detained on Sunday, March 17. After his bail, Munawar spoke to a group of paparazzi when he was asked about his thoughts on Elvish's bail. The comedian said he could understand their feelings and was happy that they got bail.

This is not the first time that the comedian has had to face the law. In 2021, he spent more than a month in Indore Central Jail. He was arrested for hurting religious sentiments during a comedy show. The comedian was granted bail a month after his arrest.
