Tollywood veteran Mohan Babu on Friday apologised to a TV journalist for the attack on him at his residence amid a family feud in the South. According to the information, the actor snatched the reporter's mic and attacked him. He apologized to the journalist and the organization for this incident. The actor posted a letter on the social media platform X to express regret over the incident.

"I am deeply saddened that the family dispute has turned into a situation that not only disturbed the reporter but also the entire journalist fraternity," wrote Mohan Babu, who was caught in a family feud with his actor son Manoj.

The former MP also clarified that he was hospitalised for 48 hours due to health issues and was unable to respond immediately. He was discharged from the hospital on Thursday. The veteran actor also recounted the incident that took place at his home in Jalpally on the night of December 10.

"When my gate was broken and 30-50 miscreants forcibly entered my house and tried to harm the people present there, I lost my patience. In the midst of this chaos, the media got entangled in this situation. When I tried to handle the situation, unfortunately the journalist got hurt. It was deeply regrettable and I am sorry for the pain and inconvenience caused to him, his family and the institution. My sincere apologies and prayers for his speedy recovery."

Mohan Babu was admitted to the hospital after a brawl at his house. Doctors had said that he had to be admitted to the hospital due to high blood pressure and anxiety. Mohan Babu was booked by the police on charges of attempt to murder.

Rachakonda Police Commissioner Sudheer Babu on Wednesday summoned Mohan Babu and his actor sons Manchu Vishnu and Manchu Manoj in connection with the cases registered against them. Mohan Babu approached the Telangana High Court, which granted him exemption till December 24. Both Vishnu and Manoj had appeared before the commissioner and both of them had pleaded that they would not do anything that would lead to further trouble.
