Hrithik Roshan’s Sister Sunaina Opens Up About Her Struggle with Alcohol Addiction

Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan and filmmaker Rakesh Roshan have had remarkable careers in the film industry, but Sunaina Roshan, Hrithik’s sister, has faced a very different journey. In a recent interview with Siddharth Kannan, Sunaina spoke openly about her alcohol addiction, how it affected her life, and how her parents took strict measures to help her recover.

"The Worst Phase of My Life" – Sunaina Roshan on Alcohol Addiction

Sunaina revealed that she turned to alcohol during a difficult phase in her life, seeking an escape from her problems. However, it soon spiraled out of control. She admitted,
"Alcohol addiction is such that you cannot control it. When I was going through a tough time, I wanted to numb my senses, so I started drinking. But that was the worst phase of my life."

Parents Took Away Credit Card and Money

As Sunaina’s addiction worsened, her parents took strict action to prevent her from indulging further. They stopped giving her money and even confiscated her credit card to limit her access to alcohol. Sunaina shared,
"I used to forget what I had done or said the day before. I fell from the bed, slipped from a chair, and got hurt multiple times. That was a very difficult time. My parents then took away my credit card and stopped giving me money because I was spending everything on alcohol. They even stopped me from meeting certain friends who could arrange alcohol for me."

Spent 28 Days in Rehab and is Now Living a Healthy Life

Sunaina eventually realized that she needed help. She discussed her situation with her parents and decided to enroll in a rehab center.
"I asked my parents to find a rehab for me, but later, I found one myself. I stayed there for 28 days and completely turned my life around."

Now, Sunaina is healthy and happy, focusing on a fresh start and staying away from the negative influences of her past. Her courageous journey is an inspiration for those struggling with addiction.
