There is big news today about Bollywood star actor Govinda. The news is that this actor has now joined Shiv Sena. Bollywood actor Govinda took membership in the Shiv Sena party in the presence of Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.

Now Govinda can contest the election from the Mumbai North West Lok Sabha seat on behalf of Shinde's party. If Shinde's party gives a ticket to Govinda from this seat, he will contest against Shiv Sena (UBT) candidate Amol Kirtikar. Govinda had earlier won the election from Mumbai North Lok Sabha seat in 2004 on behalf of Congress. In this election, he defeated Ram Naik of the Bharatiya Janata Party by 48,271 votes.
