Drunk girl having sex with different men… 'Bad Girl' made with Anurag Kashyap's money, insulted Brahmins: Netizens asked - Can you show your caste/family like this?

Director Varsha said such things about women during the teaser launch that people got angry. Varsha claimed that she did not want to create a character of women in which they were shown as soft like a flower.
The recently released teaser of the Tamil film 'Bad Girl' has created a controversy. People have alleged that the Brahmin community has been portrayed in a wrong way in this film. The film is directed by Varsha Bharat and produced by Vetri Maaran and Anurag Kashyap.
The film will be first shown at the International Film Festival in Rotterdam on January 31, 2025. Its teaser reveals that the makers of the film want to show a Brahmin girl who rebels against society and family. She wants to live her life in her own way, for this she does not even listen to her parents.
She is also shown having relationships with different people and drinking alcohol. Many people are now targeting the teaser of this film. Film director Mohan also criticized it. He targeted Anurag Kashyap and others .
He wrote, “It has always been bold for such people to show the private life of a Brahmin girl… after all what else can be expected from Vetrimaaran, Anurag Kashyap and company. Constantly targeting Brahmin parents is an old practice… you guys try doing this with girls of your caste and show it to your family first.”
Portraying a brahmin girl personal life is always a bold and refreshing film for this clan. What more can be expected from vetrimaran, Anurag kasyap & Co.. Bashing Brahmin father and mother is old and not trendy.. Try with your own caste girls and showcase it to your own family… https://t.co/XP8mtnaFws

Meanwhile, many others from South films like actor Vijay Sethupathi, director Pa Ranjith and Dhanush supported the film. Director Ranjith called Bold Girl a 'bold' and 'fresh' film. He said that the film shows the struggle of women. Actor Dhanush also shared this teaser.
Happened to watch #BadGirl, and it’s truly a bold and refreshing film! Director #VetriMaaran deserves immense credit for backing such a daring story. The film powerfully portrays women’s struggles and society’s expectations through a unique new wave cinema style. Congratulations… pic.twitter.com/EanrwiDE2I

Earlier, during the teaser launch, director Varsha said such things about women that people got angry. Varsha claimed that she did not want to create a character of women in which they were shown to be as soft as a flower.
'Bad Girl' director Varsha about wanting to break the narrative of women being portrayed as flowers, pure, Pathini (chaste & devoted), motherly/godly because it was too much pressure for women.

The film is being continuously targeted because it also shows the Brahmin community as backward and conservative. The film claims that in Brahmin families, women have to follow the instructions of their parents or elders and their personal wishes are not respected.
