Bigg Boss fame Ajaz Khan got bail after being in jail for 2 years in a drugs case, wife said- 'Can't wait to see him'!

Bigg Boss-fame TV actor Ejaz Khan has been granted bail in the drugs case, in which he was arrested in 2021. The TV actor was in jail for more than two years and is now set to be released today (May 19). Eijaz Khan shot to nationwide fame with his appearance in the seventh season of the popular reality show Bigg Boss.

According to a Times of India report, Ejaz was granted bail by a Mumbai court on Thursday. He will be released from Arthur Road Jail around 6.40 pm on Friday. Expressing her happiness over Eijaz's release, his wife Ayesha Khan said in a statement, "It's a joyous moment for us and we can't wait to have him home with us. We've missed him a lot all these years."

The actor was arrested in March 2021 after the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) raided his residence. In March 2021, the NCB raided the actor's house and seized a small amount of contraband. He was arrested at the airport after his arrival from Jaipur. NCB officials had told ANI, "During the search of his house, 4.5 grams of Alprozole tablets were incidentally recovered, but he has been arrested mainly because of his association with the Batata gang."

Ejaz's bail plea was rejected by the Bombay High Court last September on the basis of the statement of a witness, who claimed that Ejaz was selling pills and exploiting minor boys and girls.

The 43-year-old actor made his acting debut in 2007 with the show 'Kya Hoga Nimmo Ka' and has been a part of various serials like Karam Apna Apna and Diya Aur Baati Hum. He participated in Bigg Boss in 2013.
