Ashok Gehlot gave these instructions to store the wasted rainwater!

Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has given instructions to expedite the works of Jal Jeevan Mission in the direction of providing tap water to every household of Rajasthan. He has given information about the review of Jal Jeevan Mission through VC from CM residence by tweeting.

During this, CM Ashok Gehlot directed that along with preventing wastage in various mega water projects of the Water Resources Department, efficient use of water should be ensured so that availability of water from these projects could be made accessible for Jal Jeevan Mission.

This is an ambitious plan to provide water to every household in the rural areas of the state by the year 2024.

Keeping in view the drinking water requirements of Rajasthan, it is necessary that the water of other major projects including the Chambal Project, Mahi Dam, Narmada Project should be used efficiently. At the same time, efforts should be made to fulfill the requirements of Jal Jeevan Mission by collecting the rainwater that is wasted.
