Nandyal Controversy started during the election campaign when Allu Arjun joined his friend and YSRCP candidate Shilpa Ravichandra Kishore Reddy's election campaign to support her. During this, the actor visited Nandyal in Andhra Pradesh, after which he got into legal trouble. After joining the election campaign, a case was registered against him for violating the code of conduct.
Allu Arjun released an official statement to clarify the matter, in which he said, “First of all, I want to make it clear that I am not associated with any political party. I support my people, regardless of their political affiliation. This includes my uncle Pawan Kalyan, my friend Ravi, and my father-in-law, Sri Reddy, with whom I will always stand. I had promised my friend Ravi that I would support him, but last time I could not fulfill this promise. To keep my promise, this time I went to Nandyal to support him.”
