Acharya Box Office Collection Day 1: Great opening of Ram Charan's film, Acharya's big bang on the big screen
Telugu superstar Ram Charan's film 'Acharya', which released on Friday, has created a new record in his career at the box office in terms of films released only in Telugu. After the success of Ram Charan's Jr NTR, Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt's previous film RRR, this is the second Telugu film to have such a bang at the box office. Expectations are also being made from this film of Ram Charan that it will also break the record of the film 'Rangasthalam' in terms of films released only in Telugu in his career.
Another coronation of Ram Charan
Ram Charan, son of famous actor and politician Chiranjeevi, started his career in 2007 with the hit film 'Chirutha'. Since then he has done 15 films in 15 years till now. His film 'Magadheera' is considered to be the turning point of the films of the Puranas and the present day in Indian cinema. The film collected Rs 149.75 crore at the box office in 2009. And, now the film 'Acharya' also seems to be doing something similar. The film has created a ruckus in the entire country with an opening of Rs 35 crore on the very first day of its release.
South Cinema's Diwali continues
There is an atmosphere of despair in the Hindi film industry after the first day failure of Hindi releases 'Runway 34' and 'Heropanti 2' at the box office. At the same time, Diwali, which started with South Indian cinema's 'Pushpa Part 1' last year, is still going on. With the record performances of Telugu film 'RRR' and then Kannada film 'KGF 2' this year, the share of Hindi cinema in the Indian cinema business is expected to decline further this year. The share of Hindi cinema, which occupies 55 percent of the total business in Indian cinema, has fallen to 27 percent by the end of last year.
Movie released only in telugu
Telugu cinema is currently the highest grossing cinema in Indian cinema. After 'RRR', Telugu cinema, which grabbed 28 per cent of Indian cinema's total revenue by the end of last year, also has high hopes from Ram Charan's film 'Acharya'. It is believed that the film 'Acharya' will do a business of 100 crores in the first weekend itself and this is when this film has not been released in Hindi. The film 'Acharya' has earned around Rs 24 crore in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, around Rs 8 crore in Nizam region and around Rs 3 crore in other regions on its first day of release.
