Tirupati Temple laddu news: Amid the ongoing controversy over the addition of animal fat to Tirupati temple's prasadam 'laddu', ghee supplying company AR Dairy has reacted. Tamil Nadu-based company AR Dairy has denied the allegations of any animal fat being found in ghee. 

AR Dairy Food Pvt Ltd is accused of supplying poor quality ghee to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD), which manages the temple and the production of prasadam laddu.

On Thursday, the Telugu Desam Party, citing a lab report, had alleged the presence of fat and fish oil in the famous Tirupati laddu offered to devotees at the Lord Venkateswara temple in Tirumala, Andhra Pradesh.

Which company supplies ghee? 

According to the company's website, the Tamil Nadu-based dairy company was started in 1995. It is managed by three directors - Rajasekharan R, Suriya Prabha R and Srinivasan SR.

The company says that it supplied milk to TTD only in the months of June and July. He said that whenever milk was sent to the temple, a recognized laboratory report was also given. At the same time, the director of the company, while talking to a news channel, said that there is no possibility of fat being found in ghee.

Supply is done after lab testing: AR Dairy

He further said that we use only cow milk in making ghee. Every batch is tested and we have laboratory reports. The ghee we make is dispatched only after proper testing.

Amul also issued a statement

Amul company has issued a statement saying that it has never supplied ghee to Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD). Amul wrote on the social media platform X, "This is in reference to some social media posts which stated that Amul Ghee was being supplied to Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD). We would like to inform that we have never supplied Amul Ghee to TTD."
