The Government of India runs many schemes for the welfare of farmers. A large part of the population in India still depends on agriculture for their livelihood. In 2019, the Government of India launched the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme. Since then, the Central Government has released 15 instalments under this scheme. The scheme involves providing farmers with three instalments of ₹2000 each, totalling ₹6000 annually. The 16th instalment has not been distributed yet. Let us know when the next instalment may be released and how one can apply for this scheme.

The next installment expected in February:

The first instalment of the PM-Kisan scheme for the year 2023 was expected to be released by the end of February. If not in February then it can be paid by the first week of March.

15th instalment in November:

The 15th instalment under the PM-Kisan scheme was distributed in the accounts of farmers on November 15, 2022. Almost four months have passed since then. Therefore, it is estimated that the next instalment may be released in the first week of February or March.

Farmers can check the status of their instalments by visiting the official website of PM-Kisan https://pmkisan.gov.in/. Those who have not yet applied for PM-Kisan Yojana can still submit online applications. Visit the official website, select “New Farmer Registration” and fill in the required information. After completing the form, an OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number. Enter the OTP and then enter another OTP sent to the registered Aadhaar card number. Upload the required documents to complete the registration process for the scheme.
