Sensex and Nifty: Investors have lost Rs 13 lakh crore in the last four days due to the fall in the stock market. On Thursday morning, expressing disappointment over the Fed's decisions, FIIs started withdrawing money from the Indian market.

Stock Market Update: The Indian stock market did not like the decision taken by the US Federal Reserve. Its effect was seen in the domestic stock market along with the US market. Markets around the world saw a decline after the Fed hinted at a lower rate cut next year. After this, the Sensex and the Nifty broke down in early trading this morning. The BSE Sensex fell over 1,100 points to 79,029.08 in early trade. At the same time, the NSE Nifty slipped 328.55 points to 23,870.30 points. Due to this, investors have lost Rs 6 lakh crore in the first few minutes.

All companies listed on BSE

All 30 companies listed in the Sensex ended with losses. Infosys, State Bank of India, Tata Steel, Asian Paints, JSW Steel, Bajaj Finserv, Bajaj Finance and M&M were the top losers. The US markets closed on Wednesday with a negative trend. International benchmark Brent crude was trading 0.40 per cent lower at USD 73.10 per barrel.

According to stock market data, foreign institutional investors (FIIs) were major sellers on Wednesday. They sold shares worth a net of Rs 1317 crore. However, after the initial decline, the Sensex and Nifty saw a sharp rise in the first hour of the trading session. At around 10.40 am, the Sensex was seen down by 861 points at 79,326 points. Similarly, the Nifty index fell by 238 points to 23,960 points.

In the initial trading session, the total market cap of listed companies on BSE fell from Rs 452.6 lakh crore to about Rs 446.5 lakh crore. Due to this, investors lost about Rs 6 lakh crore in a few minutes of Thursday's trading. In the last four days, investors have lost about Rs 13 lakh crore. Earlier, the total market cap of listed companies on BSE was close to Rs 459.4 lakh crore on December 13.
