HDFC, the largest private sector bank, is offering 3 percent interest on deposits up to Rs 50 lakh and 3.50 percent interest on deposits above that.

Canara Bank is giving a minimum rate of 2.90 percent and a maximum interest rate of 4 percent on deposits to savings account holders.

At the same time, 2.70 percent interest is being offered by the State Bank of India on deposits up to Rs 10 crore. The interest of 3 percent per annum is being given on deposits above this.
