NSE BSE 5 October 2021: Sensex-Nifty closed on the green mark today, shares of telecom companies jumped
Today, on the second trading day of the week i.e. Tuesday, the stock market closed on the green mark after the day's ups and downs. The Bombay Stock Exchange's flagship index Sensex closed at 59,744.88, up 445.56 points (0.75 percent). On the other hand, the Nifty of the National Stock Exchange closed at 17,822.30 with a gain of 131.05 points (0.74 percent). Last week, the BSE 30-share Sensex fell 1,282.89 points or 2.13 percent.
Big relief possible for telecom companies, shares of companies jump
The central government is preparing to give relief to telecom companies in the outstanding case of spectrum user charges of about Rs 40,000 crore. In the matter, the government filed an affidavit in the Supreme Court saying that it is reviewing the process of levying spectrum user charges (SUC) from telecom companies.
The Department of Telecom had sought three weeks' time from the court for this, which has been approved by the court. After this, the share of Bharti Airtel closed at 699.00 with a gain of 2.63 percent on the BSE today. On the other hand, Vodafone Idea shares closed at 11.57, up 1.22 percent.
