This will give NPS investors the benefit of the same-day Net Asset Value (NAV).

So far, investment was done on the basis of T+1

According to the statement, the investment received by the trustee bank so far is settled on the next day (T+1) investment. This means that the contributions received till one day before are invested the next day. The PFRDA said contributions received up to 9:30 am on any settlement day were already considered for investment on the same day. Now, the contribution amount received till 11 am will also be invested on the same day along with the applicable NAV.

According to the

statement, PFRDA has advised the 'Point of Presence' (POP), Nodal Offices and NPS Trusts for e-NPS to align their NPS operations with the revised timeline. This will benefit the customers in the right way. Earlier, there was a gap of one day in the investment of the deposited money. Because they were invested on the next business day (T+1).
