Gold Silver Rate Today: Slight increase in gold prices, silver became cheaper by Rs 121 today


Gold prices on Thursday edged up by Rs 21 to Rs 48,196 per 10 grams in the national capital amid a rise in international precious metals. In the previous trade, it had closed at Rs 48,175 per 10 grams.


Silver prices fell by Rs 121
On one hand, the price of gold increased on Thursday, while the price of silver, the other precious metal, fell today. The price of silver has decreased by Rs 121. With this fall, the price of silver fell to Rs 65,147 per kg. Silver was sold at Rs 65,268 per kg in the previous trading day.

In the international market, gold was trading in green at $ 1,869 an ounce and silver was flat at $ 25.09 an ounce. According to Tapan Patel, Senior Analyst, HDFC Securities, Comex trading was trading 0.13 per cent higher at $1,869 an ounce on firm gold prices. Gold prices remained in a firm trading range on depreciation of the dollar and fall in US bond yields.
