Gold Price Today: Today on January 5, this is the price of 22 carat and 24 carat gold!
In India today i.e. on January 5, 10 grams of 24-karat gold touched Rs 49,250, a fall of Rs 10 as compared to yesterday's purchase price of Rs 49,260. Besides, one kg of silver is being bought at Rs 62,300, which is Rs 600 more than yesterday's cost price of Rs 61,700.
Every day, the price of gold keeps on changing due to important factors like state tax, excise duty and making charge. Here is a list of gold rates recorded on January 5 in some metro cities:
In the national capital (New Delhi) and financial capital (Mumbai), 10 grams of 22 carat gold is trading at Rs 47,040 and Rs 47,250. At the same time, the price of gold in the same quantity in Kolkata and Chennai reached Rs 47,090 and Rs 45,160 respectively.
According to the Good Returns website, the cost price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold in Mumbai is Rs 49,250 while in New Delhi the price for the same quantity is Rs 51,320. Meanwhile, gold prices in Kolkata and Chennai today are Rs 49,790 and Rs 49,220 respectively.
In other cities like Hyderabad and Bengaluru, 10 grams of 24 carat gold is being sold for Rs 48,980 and 22 carat gold is being sold for Rs 44,890 in both the cities. Apart from this, 22 carat gold is being bought in Patna and Nagpur today for Rs 46,110 and Rs 47,250. However, 24 carat gold has reached Rs 48,620 and Rs 49,250 in both these cities.
Apart from this, 22 carat 10 grams of gold is being bought in Kerala for Rs 44,890 and 24 carat gold for the same quantity for Rs 48,980. The price of 22 carat gold in Jaipur and Lucknow is Rs 47,240 and Rs 45,790. At the same time, the price of 24 carat gold is Rs 49,490 and Rs 48,690 respectively.
Data from the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) showed that silver futures rose 0.82 per cent to Rs 62,247.00, while gold futures rose 0.49 per cent to Rs 47,950.00.
