Gold Price Today: Today on January 4, this is the price of 22 carats and 24-carat gold!
In India, the price of 24 carats 10 grams of gold is Rs 49,250 today, 4th January. On the other hand, silver is selling at Rs 61,700 per kg after falling by Rs 700 from yesterday's price of Rs 62,400.
The price of gold fluctuates daily due to factors including making charges, excise duty and state tax.

In New Delhi and Mumbai, 10 grams of 22 carat gold is trading at Rs 47,390 and Rs 47,260. Similarly, in Kolkata and Chennai, the price of gold for the same quantity is Rs 47,440 and Rs 45,490 respectively.
According to the Good Returns website, the selling price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold in the national capital is Rs 51,700. The price in Mumbai for the same quantity is Rs 49,260. However, today gold is being traded at Rs 49,630 and Rs 50,140 in Chennai and Kolkata.
In other cities including Hyderabad and Bangalore, 22 carat gold is being bought for Rs 45,240 for 10 grams. In both the cities, 24 carat gold is sold for Rs 49,350 for the same amount.
Apart from this, 10 grams of 22 carat gold is being bought in Kerala for Rs 45,240 and the same quantity of 24 carat purity is being bought for Rs 49,350. However, at present the price of 24 carat gold in Chandigarh has reached Rs 48,990 for 10 grams while 22 carat gold is bought and sold in the same quantity for Rs 46,090.
Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) data show that the futures price of gold rose 0.18 per cent to Rs 47,801.00. Silver also fell by 0.09 per cent to Rs 61.686.00.
