According to the All India Sarafa Association, gold closed at an all-time high of Rs 78,700 per 10 grams on Monday. However, silver remained stable at Rs 94,000 per kg due to profit booking after a fall in silver prices in foreign markets. Apart from this, gold of 99.5 percent purity also fell by Rs 400 from its record level to Rs 77,900 per 10 grams. In the previous closing price on Monday, it closed at Rs 78,300 per 10 grams.
Gold Price: Why the fluctuations in gold?
Traders said gold prices fell due to sluggish demand from local jewelers amid weak trend in global markets. Gold also remained volatile due to tension in West Asia between Iran and Israel and it is expected to remain in the range of Rs 75,450-76,350 on MCX.
Gold Rate Expert View: What did the experts say about the price of gold
Regarding the price of gold, Jatin Trivedi, Vice President and Research Analyst, at LKP Securities, said that the market sentiment remains neutral regarding the reduction in interest rates, with a reduction of 0.25 (quarter) percent expected, as the unemployment figures in the US are coming in line, dimming the hopes of a big reduction in rates. Comex gold futures fell 0.38 percent to $ 2,655.80 an ounce in Asian trading hours. Silver fell 1.79 percent to $ 31.43 an ounce in the international market.
Gold Rate Today: Gold futures prices fall
Amid weak global cues, the price of gold fell by Rs 369 to Rs 62,507 per 10 grams in futures trading on Tuesday. The price of the contract for delivery in December at the Multi Commodity Exchange fell by Rs 369 or 0.49 percent to Rs 75,676 per 10 grams. 1,800 lots were traded in it. On the fall in prices, market analysts said that gold futures prices fell due to the weak trend in global markets. Globally, gold fell by 0.32 percent to $ 2,634.11 an ounce in New York.
