Every information of farmers will be on one click, there will be no disturbance in Samman Nidhi: Tomar
Farmers will get less crop insurance amount, problems in getting Kisan Credit Card from banks, and disturbances in Kisan Samman Nidhi will not happen now. Agriculture Department is working on the Grand Agriculture Digital Mission which will bring an unprecedented reduction in the day-to-day grievances of the farmers. Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar said this. Tomar was on a two-day Gwalior-Chambal tour.
Giving more details about the mission, Tomar says that the entire database of the farmer's land, what crop the farmer is taking on that land, as well as how much debt is on it, is being prepared. Every farmer will get a unique number. On one click from that unique number, it can be known whether the farmer is getting Kisan Samman Nidhi or not. What is the status of crop insurance? Access to the above database will also be given to banks so that they can generate Kisan Credit Cards of eligible farmers immediately.
Companies like Microsoft, Amazon are making models
According to Tomar, work is being done on this digital mapping model in different districts of the country from many renowned tech companies. The company whose model is the best will be implemented across the country. Companies are providing free services.
Apart from this, linking the Aadhar card with the land of farmers is a part of this project. So far five and a half crore accounts have been linked, this year the target is to take it to eight crores. According to Tomar, the PM Fasal Bima Yojana has improved the condition of the farmers.
