Banks across India will be closed for 13 days including 2nd and 4th Saturdays and Sundays, with several festivals coming up in September. Apart from the six weekly holidays, banks in different states will remain closed for seven days because of different holidays. Since some banks are closed on account of state-specific festivals and holidays, banks in all states will not remain closed on that day. In addition, there are 13 bank holidays listed, but as Ganesh Chaturthi overlaps with the second Saturday, it will be counted as a holiday.
