Stock Market Closing On 5th September: The Indian stock market closed with great momentum due to the buying of investors on the first trading day of the new week. Sensex has again managed to cross the 59,000 mark. At the end of trading today, the Sensex of the Mumbai Stock Exchange rose by 442 points to 59,245 and the Nifty of the National Stock Exchange closed at 17,665 points with a gain of 126 points. Bank Nifty also saw a great rally. All 12 shares of Bank Nifty closed in the green.
Shares of all the sectors were up in the market today. Apart from banking, IT, auto, pharma, FMCG, energy, metals, consumer durables, oil and gas, and media sector stocks were bought. Midcap and small-cap stocks also saw a rise. Of the 50 stocks of Nifty, 35 shares closed in the green, while 15 shares closed in the red mark. So out of 30 stocks of Sensex, only 24 stocks closed in the green mark while 6 closed in the red mark.
If we look at the stocks rising in the market, then Sun Pharma 1.81 percent, ITC 1.78 percent, NTPC 1.70 percent, Reliance 1.60 percent, HCL Tech 1.28 percent, Tata Steel 1.28 percent, Larsen 1.18 percent, ICICI Bank 1.15 percent, Bharti Airtel 0.85 percent, Kotak Mahindra Bank closed with a gain of 0.83 percent.
If we look at the falling stocks, Bajaj Auto 1.84 percent, Nestle 1.54 percent, Britannia 1.12 percent, UltraTech Cement 0.84 percent, Apollo Hospital 0.69 percent, Eicher Motors 0.63 percent, Tata Motors 0.60 percent, Wipro 0.54 percent, Power Grid 0.36 percent, HDFC Life has closed with a decline of 0.21 percent.
