Stock Market Closing On 23rd September 2022: The Indian stock market closed with a big fall on the last trading day of the week due to the weakness in the rupee against the dollar and the possibility of increasing interest rates by the RBI. This is the second consecutive Friday when the Sensex has seen a fall of more than 1,000 points. At the end of trading today, the Sensex of the Mumbai Stock Exchange declined by 1020 points to 58,140 and the Nifty of the National Stock Exchange declined by 302 points to close at 17,327 points.
Shares of all sectors saw a fall in the market. Bank Nifty closed with a decline of 1,090 points. Profit-booking was seen in the stocks of IT, Auto, Energy, Metals, Pharma, and FMCG sector. Midcap and smallcap stocks were also not untouched by this fall. Of the 50 stocks of Nifty, only 6 shares closed in the green mark, and the remaining 44 stocks declined, while out of 30 shares of Sensex, only 3 shares closed in the green mark, and the remaining 27 shares closed with the red mark.
On Friday, 3,590 shares were traded on the BSE, in which 936 shares rose and 2529 shares closed down. There is no change in the price of 115 shares. In today's trading session, 214 shares closed with the upper circuit and 223 shares closed with a lower circuit.
If we look at the stocks that climbed in today's trading session, then Divi's Lab has closed with a gain of 1.56 percent, Sun Pharma 1.22 percent, Cipla 0.71 percent, Tata Steel 0.68 percent, ITC 0.36 percent, ONGC 0.27 percent.
If we look at the falling stocks, Power Grid closed with a decline of 7.97 percent, Apollo Hospital 4.10 percent, Hindalco 3.62 percent, Adani Ports 3.54 percent, SBI 3.01 percent, Mahindra 3.01 percent, Bajaj Finance 2.79 percent, NTPC 2.76 percent.
